Jill lowers the 1 subject notebook and looks at me.  "Well?  What happens next?"  Her blue eyes follow me closely.  "Does he call her?"  She begins to flip through the pages.  "You haven't written any more?"
"That's, like, 4 questions right in a row," I smirk.  "Which one do you want answered first?"  I lean back in the uncomfortable bus seat.
"The story, what happens next?" she asks, looking down at the notebook.  She's messing with her hair, dark brown and curly, but curly in the way where it required no work to get that way.

I can honestly say that Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes had the greatest impact on me getting into making cartoons. And, as huge a fan as I am, this is really the very first time I've ever drawn them. It was lots of fun and really took me back to all the great moments from the strip.

i like the way that hobbes is only imaginary, but he interacts with things physically. my fav was when calvin got lost because he was following someone he thought was his mom and said that moms should have their names tatooed on their calves so that kids can see who they are. and the one where he blows up his school. that's a good one.

Yeah, Calvin and Hobbes ruled more than anything else. Helps build your vocabulary, too, no one ever mentions that.
